Deconstructing Text/Developing Character with Kath Rogers
Saturday 5th October 2024, 10.30am-4.30pm.
About The Workshop
Join well-known actor, director and teacher Kath Rogers, to spend a day deconstructing text and developing character using scenes from “13” by Mike Bartlett. You will need to read the play and make notes in advance. We will be mining the text for clues observing language, rhythm and punctuation. We will discover how to create character using the text and how to fill in the gaps using invention and imagination.
We will work sitting down, standing up and moving in the space! Please bring a pencil and notebook and wear comfortable and neutral clothing.
